What is a Health Coach?
A Health Coach is a mentor who helps people make healthy lifestyle choices and achieve personal wellness goals. Whether the desired outcome is weight loss, boosted energy levels, or improved digestion, the Health Coach focuses on the individual needs of each client and works within the realities of their day-today challenges. By helping clients make manageable behavioral changes that can be maintained over time, a Health Coach, empowers people to take responsibility for their own health and feel their best.

I have studied over 100 dietary theories and use practical lifestyle coaching methods to guide you in discovering which approach works best for you. Most approaches to nutrition dwell on calories, carbs, fats and proteins. This approach is ineffective, time consuming and can lead to depression and eating disorders. Instead of creating lists of dietary restrictions, I coach my clients to understand what it is they are putting into their body; good or bad, to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible, fun and free of denial and discipline. No one diet works for everyone. I will guide you to find the food and lifestyle choices that best support you, to make gradual, lifelong changes that enable you to reach your current and future health goals. Through education, my clients begin to make intelligent choices when deciding what to eat. With this small change, a happy healthy life, free of denial and discipline is created.
What Else Does a Health Coach Do?
Dietary choices, nutrition and weight loss are only a few aspects of what a Health Coach covers with clients. However, as women, men, parents, lay people and professionals, there are a variety of issues and concerns that contribute to and affect our health and daily lifestyle behavior choices. As your health coach, I will show you how to infuse joy and satisfaction into your life by working through a few Primary Foods you may be missing. Primary Food include your social life, relationships, home cooking, home environment, spirituality, career choices, finances, physical fitness and education. Secondary Foods are the things we put into our mouths, but Primary Foods are those things we care about most and improve our health.
